Ingham Method: Applying constant pressure, using ‘thumb walking’, where the thumb or fore finger bends and straightens across the plantar and dorsal aspects of the foot. This action causes effect to body structures related to the area of the foot, being worked.
Fascia is a sheath of stringy connective tissue that surrounds every structure in our body. Fascia is one continuous, flexible layer and moves with our body. The multiple strong segments of fascia in the feet, are responsible for human bipedal ability.
Looking at a photo stored on your phone versus having it stored in the cloud, is not the same. It is the same image but it stored and accessed in differently. Pain can be stored and accessed in similar ways. We need to learn how to look at pain differently. (Helen Perry)
